POLITICAL CRAZZYNESS

  President Yahya . Jammeh of the Small West African State of The Gambia, has thrown a 'bombshell': he removes The Gambia form the Commonwealth. Jammeh, a low level junior soldier, came to power in 1994 in a military coup by overthrowing the former well respected President Dauda Jawara. Many felt at the time that this was a 'falamakata' ( copy cat) coup following the military coup in Sierra Leone in 1992 by the Strasser/Maada Bio/ SAJ Musa coup. The question now- is this a wise move  by The Gambia and its people?
