                                             President Koroma : Too good for the SLPP

The Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) United Kingdom/Ireland Branch is neck-neep in shame and embarassment after the United Nations commended President Ernest Koroma and the All People’s Congress ( APC) Government for good governance , development projects and efforts aimed at ensuring that the 2012 elections are free and fair–Days after the branch called on British Deputy Premier Nicholas Clegg to spread lies about the APC Government.

[{Would Mr Nick Clegg help recover and return the State's Money stollen by Maada Bio and other SLPP THIEVES banked in UK/Channel Island, Banks such as TRUSTEE SAVINGS BANK (TSB)/ LLOYDS-TSB(as it is now). THAT WOULD BE NICE!!!}]

The SLPP Branch was shamed and embarrassed to know that their so-called diplomatic offensive paid no dividends whatsoever as the British Permanent Mission to the UN was one of those who highly commended President Koroma and the APC Government during the UN Peacebuilding Sierra Leone Country Specific Configuration High-Level Meeting at the UN last week. The depth and intensity of the praises poured on President Koroma by PBC Members and permanent representatives of goodwill nations and the International Community showed that the SLPP quest to damage the the international image of the President and the government had failed shamefully and miserable.
To cover his shame, the so-called Publicity Secretary of the SLPP Branch Sheku Lexmond Koroma, as is his party’s wont to kill the messenger for his message, rather turned his wrath on the COCORIOKO Newspaper which reported the story, trying shamelessly to take the newspaper’s words out of context in the editorial in which the paper ridiculed the Branch for their fruitless trip to see Clegg.
No where in the Cocorioko editorial was anything uncomplimentary or disrespectful said about the British Government or the International Community .In fact, the whole article is crediting the British Government and stakeholders for having their ears open to Sierra Leone political parties , civil society groups and organizations in true commitment to its constructive engagement with Sierra Leone.
The editorial reiterated the point COCORIOKO has been making for long that the international community and Sierra Leone’s development partners are not gullible and will not listen to frivolous complaints from the SLPP who have become crybabies in Sierra Leone’s political metamorphorsis. People who read the SLPP UK/Ireland propaganda secretary’s rejoinder ridiculed Sheku Lexmond Koroma that he does not understand simple English or the meaning of the word “Gullible “. They said that the way the Koroma fellow twisted the story clearly shows the deceptive and deceitful journalism that is the forte of SLPP operatives in desperation .
The SLPP UK/Ireland Branch will learn that when a President is outstanding like President Koroma , misfits like their Branch will not succeed to tarnish his name.

THIS IS UNFAIR    AND UNREASONABLE!  CATEGORY 5, AN INCREASE   FROM NLe183 to NLe700, an increase of 382.5%.  CATEGORY 6, AN INCREASE FROM NLe100 TO NEW 250    i.e. 150%. These are the categories that will mostly    impact cost of living and increase economic suffering on the people.    The Ministers of Transport, Works, Finance and Trade must conjointly review these increases as these are UNFAIR AND UNREASONABLE AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL TAXES.
